The Dutch founder of Owner Off Duty began their journey in the tourism and hospitality industry in the Netherlands in 1984. After relocating to Indonesia in 2010, she established PT Rumah Dunia. Within the company, Houses of Asia operated as the property management division, while NewLife Villas served as the central reservation company. Together, these brands provided an integrated service to help villa owners professionally manage, present and rent their properties.
Over the years, Houses of Asia supported over 80 villa owners with the operational aspects of property and rental management. Its activities ranged from preparing villas for the rental market and coordinating local staff to overseeing daily operations and maintaining service standards. NewLife Villas focused on reservations, online presentation, guest communication, pricing strategies and revenue optimisation. The approach has always been practical, personal and focused on sustainable, long-term results.
In 2026, she transferred Houses of Asia to a local Indonesian company. This experienced local team will continue to operate and further develop the Houses of Asia brand, supported by our knowledge, experience and ongoing guidance. Houses of Asia will remain an important and trusted partner on Bali of Owner Off Duty, allowing both companies to combine their strengths, expertise and professional networks.
She is now continuing his journey with Owner Off Duty. This company builds directly on the experience, activities and trusted relationships developed throughout our many years in tourism, hospitality and villa rentals. The knowledge gained through Houses of Asia and NewLife Villas forms the foundation of the services Owner Off Duty provides today.
